WHO WE ARE
Our founder and head chef, Melina Natale, was born and raised in the beautiful south of Munich, Germany. Since her origin is a well-rounded mix of her blonde, blue-eyed German mum ‘Helga’ and her Godfather-looking dad ‘Luigi’, you can still taste Mel’s unique Italian-Argentine-German influence in all of her recipes: Bold creativity, great passion for the magic of movies and upmost respect for the details of the craft, drive her to write original scripts with exciting plots, authentic dialogue and just the right dash of wit.
If Mel’s not having a Martini with Don Draper in some dingy bar, you’ll find her snacking on cult sitcoms like Seinfeld or modern comedies like Fleabag or The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. Her favorite dramatic dishes include the chicken from Breaking Bad’s Los Pollos Hermanos, the Lasagna from The Sopranos and the cherry pie from Twin Peaks. When Mel is hit by soul-food cravings, she reaches for 90s Rom-Coms, John Hughes’ classics or pretty much the whole Disney catalogue.
